Privacy Policy

Last updated July 30, 2026. This page is maintained by the Feed Freeze team and describes how the Feed Freeze Chrome extension and feedfreeze.com handle your information.

The short version

  • The extension does not collect, transmit, or sell your browsing history.
  • It reads the page structure on the supported social sites only (YouTube, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn), in your browser, to hide feed elements. Nothing about what you watch or search leaves your device.
  • The website collects the minimum needed to run accounts and subscriptions: your email address and billing state.
  • We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

What the extension stores

Your settings (the master toggle and each blocking rule) are stored with Chrome’sstorageAPI. If you are signed into Chrome with sync enabled, Chrome may sync those settings across your own devices — that transfer is handled by Google, not by us.

The extension also caches your subscription status (active or not, and when it was last checked) locally so it can work offline between checks.

The extension requests only the storage and alarms permissions plus host access to those social sites and the Feed Freeze API domain. It does not request access to your other tabs, downloads, or browsing history.

What the website collects

  • Account: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google returns (name, email, avatar URL).
  • Subscription: plan, status, renewal date, and a payment-provider customer ID so we can show and manage your subscription.
  • Extension key: a random token that lets your installed extension ask whether your subscription is active. It is tied to your account, not to your browsing.

Card details are never sent to or stored on our servers; payments are processed by Stripe.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to operate the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting for accounts and subscription records.
  • Lovable — hosting and deployment of feedfreeze.com.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Cookies and analytics

The extension sets no cookies and contains no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts and assets in the extension are bundled locally, so opening the popup or settings makes no requests to third-party servers.

The website uses cookies and local storage strictly to keep you signed in and to complete checkout.

Retention and deletion

Account and subscription records are kept while your account exists, and billing records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored settings from that browser.

To delete your account and associated data, email privacy@feedfreeze.com from your account address.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Send requests to privacy@feedfreeze.com. Feed Freeze is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for account holders, notify you by email.
